Muaythai 101 Classes
Have you always wanted to start muaythai but weren’t sure where to begin? Or maybe you have tried a couple of lessons but were fearful of holding people back? PTJ Muaythai Gym hosts a range of Beginner’s Muaythai Classes for those looking to make a start with people just like you.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced muaythai practitioner, all PTJ members start with Muaythai 101.
We use this opportunity to get to know you, assess your ability levels and for you to get to the know the gym.
We ensure a our Muaythai 101 Classes have a 10:1 maximum student to Our classes are capped at 10 people maximum to ensure more attention to detail on your technique.
What’s in a Muaythai 101 Class?
The PTJ Muaythai 101 classes are designed to help you get started on your Muaythai journey. They cover all the fundamentals:
- How to wrap your hands
- Basic Footwork for Muaythai
- Basic Defence for Muaythai
- Basic striking for Muaythai
- Padwork and bag work
The classes are also set-up to ensure that you have a basic understanding of how to use the equipment in the gym so you are ready to join our other group classes. It covers basic use of the following Muaythai equipment:
- Skipping ropes
- Boxing bags
- Thai pads, focus mitts, kick shields
We have a variety of pricing options, however we like to recommend the $99 2 Week introduction pack which includes a set of gloves. This is a great, cost effective way to determine if you’d like to continue on. But we know you will as muaythai is very addictive!
Class Days / Times
- Mondays and Wednesdays from 7pm – 8pm.
- Class times are being updated with COVID changes, so please ensure you check MindBody for booking times.
